The Krishnakriti Foundation was incorporated in the year 2003 with the support of The Kalakriti Art GAleery and The Lahoti Foundation, The mission of the foundation is to promote the cause of art and culture to Hyderabad, India and beyond. The foundation conducts a number of activities towards achieving its mission.
The Krishnakriti Annual Festival of Art and Culture:
Conducted around 7-10 January every year, the festival was the first in Hyderabad to agglomerate and showcase some of the finest achievements in the field of art and culture in India.
Conducted in association with the Kalakriti Art Gallery, it is the only festival that encompasses all domains in the field of art and culture and the only one to be conducted by an institution associated with the field of art and culture in Hyderabad.
The festival features fine arts exhibition, seminars, panel discussions, workshops, artist interaction sessions, book launches and readings, plays, screenings and musical concerts. The events are selected to educate, entertain and delight the denizens of Hyderabad and guests from across India and the world.Over 10,000 visitors take part in 20-30 events that span across 4- 5 days.
The Embassy of France in India and KrishnaKriti Fellowship:
In association with the Embassy of France in India, the Krishnakriti Foundation offers fellowship to students of fine-arts to reside in France for a period of six months to study art in the finest colleges at the art capital of the world- Paris, France and take advantage of the opportunity.
Since 2007, two students have been selected every year for this privilege.
For outstanding contribution towards warm and cordial relations between India and France in the field of arts & culuture, Mr.Prshant Lahoti, Founder-Director of the Krishnakriti Foundation, was awarded the “Chevalier dans I’ Ordre des Arts et des Lettres” – the seconds highest civilian award by the Govt. Of France.
The KrishnaKriti Scholarship:
Based on the merit of current achievements and potential, students of fine arts are provided financial assistance, material assistance and networking and exposure to help them achieve higher objectives.
