Time is enigmatic, elusive. It observes, endures and passes away making it a precious commodity, a life currency that is unrecoverable once it is gone. Time is an essential signifier and in art, it is a measure of the life’s motions, movement’s incidents and stored memory which builds a narrative about a civilization and country.
The concept of time functions as an archive of all incidents, historical, political, social and personal having different meanings for different people and perspectives. Art serves to speak through visual dialogues and changes with the shifts in society which the artist uses through his personal experiences and journey across time.
